Meta-owned WhatsApp has started rolling out a new voice calling interface for select beta testers on Android.
WhatsApp for Android beta 2.22.5.4 brings an updated voice calling interface to some users, according to WhatsApp beta tracker WABetaInfo.
Some users can also see the changes on WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.22.5.3.
As of now, no new interface has been spotted in the iOS beta app, but reports say WhatsApp could be coming to WhatsApp in a future update.
To understand who is making group voice calls, WhatsApp is working to introduce waveforms so users can identify the speaker.
Additionally, WhatsApp was found to be working on a new screen for replying to user comments about their account ban.
WhatsApp is also working on some new features, including tweaks to the built-in camera and a redesigned captions view for iOS users.
With the latest beta, the app is tweaking the built-in camera and improving other features.
