WhatsApp announced more features that can be added to the call function. “Today, we are enhancing the experience of joining calls through integration with group chats. As group calls become more Popular, the integrated call function provides WhatsApp users with a new spontaneous way to connect with family and friends in groups,” WhatsApp said in a statement.
If someone misses a call, the new feature will eliminate the need to disconnect and make the call again. Users can join an ongoing event at any time. WhatsApp stated that users can join the calling WhatsApp group and join the call directly from the group chat. The notification will display the group name instead of the participant name. However, only people who belong to the group can join the call.
The call will be displayed in the chat list, so people can immediately see which groups are in a call after opening the app. WhatsApp assigned a lighter unique ringtone. Make it feel as easy as sending and receiving messages. WhatsApp has previously introduced the ability to join group calls, even after it started.
This obviously means that you don’t have to join immediately after the call starts, you can join the call at any time. WhatsApp also introduced a call information screen, so you can see who is already on the call and who has been invited but has not yet joined.
