White House employee, who contacted Biden, tests positive for COVID-19

The White House announced on Monday that an employee of the Biden administration contacted him on December 17 and tested positive for COVID-19.

“On Monday morning, a middle-level staff member who did not have frequent contact with the President (Joe Biden) tested positive for COVID-19. Three days ago, on Friday, the staff member had spent approximately On the way from Lange to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was close to the President on Air Force One,” White House spokesperson Jen Psaki said in a statement.

A White House spokesperson said that the staff member has been fully vaccinated and stepped up vaccinations. Before boarding Air Force One, all persons travelling with the President of the United States were tested and the results were negative.

She said: “Since CDC guidelines do not require fully vaccinated people to be isolated after contact, the president will continue his daily arrangements.”
