Anti-Taliban fighters in the Panjshir province of Afghanistan, free from Taliban rule, have pledged to defend the country, saying, “Will rub their faces in the ground”.
Earlier, Ali Nazari, the head of foreign affairs of Afghanistan’s National Resistance Front, said in an interview that thousands of fighters of the group were ready for conflict.
For a long time, fighters in Panjshir prevented foreign forces from capturing the area by firing a heavy machine gun into a deep canyon from the top of a rocky mountain.
These fighters are from the National Resistance Front (NRF), the strongest remaining force since the siege of Kabul by the Taliban.
