Krishn Gupta a 9th grade studentfrom Inventure Academy, Bangalore has invented a No-Touch Hand Sanitizer Dispencer at home. He has created the code himself in the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 software and made the physical Robot Design himself, using Lego Mindstrom EV3 Pieces.
Krishn has been undergoing robotics classes for the last few years, where he learns how to make such robots and how to do coding. He has been taking part in competitions like “World Robotics Olympiad” and “First Lego League” regularly.
After talking with Mr. Himanshu Gupta (father of Krishn), he said “ Krishn is a very talented child from childhood. He is always eager to do something different. When he came to know about his invention, he really felt proud.”
How he made this project and how it works?

Krishn made this ‘No-Touch Hand Sanitizer Dispense’ using Lego Mindstorms EV3.
First, the ultrasonic sensor senses any object (a hand) which is within a range of 12 cm. After that, the Large Motor which is on the robot moves an arm, which then pushes the sanitizer knob down which lets the sanitizer out.
After making this robot design, he programmed it using the ‘LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3’ software.
As per Krishn: “I thought of designing this “No-Hands Sanitizer Dispenser” because since our Prime Minister has announced the lockdown, my grandfather keep on telling our family that we should not touch anything and we should always sanitize our hands. However, I noticed that everyone is touching the hand sanitizer bottle in order to use the hand sanitizer. Thus, I felt the need of making a hand sanitizer dispenser, from which we can take out the sanitizer without touching the bottle. Now we are even using it at home.”

Krishn has used his quarantine time very well. He is an inspiration for all the children who are staying at home. We wish krishn very good luck for his future.
