Mohammad Sharif, Who Has Cremated More Than 25 Thousand Unclaimed Dead Bodies, Was Invited To Join The Bhoomi Poojan

Padmashri Mohammad Sharif known as Sharif Chacha, the Maqbool of Ayodhya, who has served humanity after performing last rites of unclaimed dead bodies for the last 27 years, has also received an invitation to attend the Ram temple foundation stone program on Wednesday.

Sharif’s son Mohammad Sagir said on Tuesday that his father is around 82 years old, he had received an invitation from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust in the afternoon on Tuesday. However, he said that his father has been suffering due to kidney disease for some time and he is not able to walk properly, so may be he will not be able to attend the program.

Sharif’s ultrasound is being done and after seeing his condition they will decide whether he will be able to attend the program or not. Mohammad Sharif, a bicycle mechanic by profession, performs the last rites of unclaimed dead bodies in the district for nearly 27 years.

According to Sagir, his father performs the last rites of the unclaimed dead bodies of people belonging to all religions, including Hindu and Muslim. Till now he has cremated around 25,000 unclaimed dead bodies. For this great service to humanity, Mohammad Sharif was awarded the Padma Shri, the country’s fourth-highest civilian honor, in January this year.
