73-year-old woman dies after assault by son in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar

Delhi Police arrested a 53-year-old man for allegedly assaulting his mother. Angoori Devi, 73, was admitted by her son-in-law, Manoj Kumar, with severe injuries. Police said she was unfit to give a statement.

The West Delhi Police has registered a case under section 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) of the Indian Penal Code against her son Bhagwan Dass, who assulted her due to a property dispute.

Police have added section 304 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code to the FIR in the case. Proceedings under section 174 of the CrPC are going on and Bhagwan Dass has also been arrested by the Police. Angoori Devi was moved to Safdarjung Hospital on Saturday as her condition deteriorated, but later succumbed to her injuries.

The producers of Adipurush unveiled a new motion poster featuring Kriti Sanon, inspired by Sita from the Hindu mythology text Ramayana. The poster is a beige saree with a saffron dupatta covering her head, and features Prabhas as the main theme. It was unveiled on Ram Navami. Kriti and Janaki are reunited and the song Jai Siya Ram is heard in the background. The makers have revealed new posters on Ram Navami, showing the moral courage of their son.
