Person Commits Suicide After Killing Couple In Narela, Delhi
In Narela area of outer Delhi, a person committed suicide by consuming poison himself after allegedly killing the couple with a knife. Police said the incident occurred late Tuesday.
Police said that there was a fight between the couple and their neighbor over something, after which the 50-year-old accused stabbed the couple to death. Police said that he then went home and changed clothes and reportedly drink poison. He also died during treatment.
They told that the couple has two children, who are still being looked after by their other neighbors. Awaiting his relatives, who are coming here from his ancestral residence in Bihar. Investigations have revealed that there have been several fights with the couple and other neighbors before the accused. Police said that the cause of the quarrel that occurred the night before has not been ascertained. The inspection of the matter is going on.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer-North) Gaurav Sharma said that we got a call on PCR to inform about the murder at around 2:40 minutes late in the night. On reaching there, the woman and her husband were found dead. At the same time, Mohammad Mushtaq had consumed poison after killing him and died during treatment.
A police officer said that the accused saw them from the terrace when police arrived and then hide. He had consumed poison. Meanwhile, a neighbor alerted the police and he was caught. He confessed his crime after being caught. He alleged that the deceased often chased his young daughter, causing him to tease her.
According to the officer the accused fainted and was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed during treatment. He said the knife used for the murder has been recovered and legal action is being taken.
