Aditya aka CID’s Abhijeet reveals a lady once mistook him for a cop; asked him to find her lost purse
He has been an integral part of the entertainment industry for a long time now. Actor Aditya Srivastava has done a number of Bollywood films including Raat Akeli Hai, Super 30, Black Friday, Lakshya and more. However, people still remember him as senior inspector Abhijeet from the cult TV show, CID.
Also featuring Shivaji Satam and Dayanand Shetty, the show had a successful run on the small screen for 20 years. And at present, talks are going for the CID’s second season, as per Aditya. In a recent interview with Times Now Digital, Aditya aka Abhijeet revealed how people actually believed that he was a cop in real life too. When asked the actor to share an incident where someone mistook him for a cop, Aditya stated that such incidents used to happen a lot with him. That being said, the actor told us about one such incident in particular. He said:
“Yes, it definitely used to happen. We always used to show (police) forces’ positive side. Hume abhi, bhi jo forces hai, be it police, military at an airport or anywhere, they consider ke ye humare hi log hai (Police and miltary consider us (CID team) as their own) . And we are proud of the fact we always showed the positive side of the forces. And logo ki dimaag mein itna image ghar kar gayi thi ki kahi jagah aise instances hote the ki (CID left very strong impression on people and such incidents did happen for real), it happened at Delhi airport as well. I remember we were travelling somewhere and a lady came saying that my purse or card has been lost, please find out. I made her understand that there’s a different between reel life and real life. I told her CCTV has been installed, you will be able to find out.”
Aditya also stated that people even shared their real-life problems with Shivaji Satam (ACP Pradyuman) and Dayanand Shetty (Daya). Apart from reminiscing his CID days, the actor spoke about the response he has got for his character in Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey-starrer Haseen Dillruba. In the Vinil Mathew film, he played a cop named Kishore Rawat.

Family Star review
The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.
The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
