Taliban killed police chief in afganistan after blindfolding him

In spite of their vow to not retaliate against opponents, the Taliban have executed a regional police chief, who fought against the jihadist group. Video footage currently going viral on the Internet apparently shows a handcuffed and blindfolded General Haji Mullah Achakzai, the police chief of Badghis Province near Herat, being shot to death.

According to reports, the Taliban captured the area, near the Turkmenistan border, in a lightning advance late last week, and had imprisoned the grey-haired commander. Former BBC Persia journalist Nasrin Nawa re-tweeted the clip after it emerged on the feed of an apparent resistance force against the Taliban called @PanjshirProvince, reported Daily Mail. Following a content warning, Nawa captioned: “Haji Mullah, Police chief of Badghis province executed after surrender by #Taliban.

This is their public amnesty!” Achakzai, in his early 60s, was a well-known fighter in the long-lasting conflict between the Taliban and the forces of the Afghan civil government, which was overrun on Sunday. This may be noted that following their takeover of Kabul on Sunday, the Taliban had promised that they would not avenge former enemies. However, a confidential United Nations document claimed that the Taliban are intensifying their search for people who have worked with US and NATO forces. The report provided by UN threat assessment consultants and seen by news agency has claimed that the group has a “priority list” of targets it wants to arrest. People who held key positions in the Afghan military, police, and intelligence services are most likely to be at risk, according to the document (dated Wednesday). The Taliban conducted “targeted door-to-door visits” of men they wanted to arrest and their families, added the report. It also claimed that the militants are “rapidly enlisting” new informers to work with the Taliban regime. Norwegian Center for Global Analyses, an organisation that provides intelligence to UN agencies, wrote the document.

Jennifer Lopez ‘let go of her’ high-heeled ego while working with Ben Affleck

As Jennifer Lopez navigates her separation from Ben Affleck, she prioritizes her career, notably in the film Unstoppable.

Jennifer Lopez has “let go of her ego” to prioritise her career and personal growth as she navigates her separation from Ben Affleck.

The 55-year-old actress and singer, during an interview with Amazon/MGM, opened up about working on the upcoming film Unstoppable, a project she co-starred in while estranged from her husband.

“It was an honour to be a part of Anthony [Robles] and to play Judy,” Jennifer shared. “I approached the role with a complete lack of ego where you have to go in there and have so much respect for the person you are playing because it’s her story.”

“I disappeared, there was no Jennifer, no J. Lo. That person on the screen is just Judy. Luckily, I got to spend time with her and see who she was alone and as a mother.”

“Unstoppable is a very different movie than [Small Things Like These], but in a way it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists,” Ben told Entertainment Toninght just couple of weeks back. “Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jharrel and Bobby Cannavale – all of whom were really passionate about this film.”

After reuniting and marrying in 2022, Jennifer filed for divorce in August 2024. Reports of marital struggles, including living separately, surfaced months before the filing.

“He’s focusing on his work and his kids now,” an insider told InTouch Weekly. “Ben already moved out … They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her.”
