Vir Das tells clueless Whitney Cummings how Shah Rukh ‘world’s biggest star’
Vir Das described Shah Rukh Khan as “the biggest star in the world” in a podcast session and talked publicly about writing jokes for the superstar. While speaking on the actor and comedian Whitney Cummings’s “Good For You Podcast,” he tried to explain the possibility of Brad Pitt walking on the streets of Los Angeles.
But Shah Rukh’s departure from Mumbai would trigger a “stamped incident.” The 56-year-old actor’s fan base, Weir said: “In Mumbai, if Shah Rukh Khan, the biggest star of Bollywood, plays for about 30 seconds, there will be a stampede.
There are 5,000 people on the street. It’s like a treasure. Lywood’s fame.” When Whitney searched for Shahrukh on Google, Weir continued: “That’s the biggest star in the world, almost. Like in everything. As far as the fan base is concerned, it’s in terms of reach. In terms of everything. Just like every Sunday, there will be 10,000 people waiting outside his house.”
“No one will fall in love with a woman like Shah Rukh-you will find that people will say that,” Weier added. He also talked about Shah Rukh’s superstar journey and said: “His story is really great. He showed up in Mumbai with a suitcase, kind of a story of becoming the “king of the world”. I think people have something to do with that , Longing for that.”
Vir recalled writing jokes for Shah Rukh for the awards ceremony, and said that he would add something by himself, and the result would be better: “Our version of the Oscar awards ceremony-I used to write jokes about it, and he once hosted it. Just like you Will be in his house, like joking to him.
Then he will never listen to you. He will continue to make his version of jokes, and it will always be better. No one has ever done this before.” Added: “So in the background, you’re like’…that’s good. You know he is so good. He is so smart.”
Actor and comedian Vir Das is known for his comedy specials on Netflix. He was nominated for an International Emmy Award for his performance of Vir Das: For India-he lost to Call My Agent. He has recently been controversial for his “Two Indias” monologue.

Jennifer Lopez has “let go of her ego” to prioritise her career and personal growth as she navigates her separation from Ben Affleck.
The 55-year-old actress and singer, during an interview with Amazon/MGM, opened up about working on the upcoming film Unstoppable, a project she co-starred in while estranged from her husband.
“It was an honour to be a part of Anthony [Robles] and to play Judy,” Jennifer shared. “I approached the role with a complete lack of ego where you have to go in there and have so much respect for the person you are playing because it’s her story.”
“I disappeared, there was no Jennifer, no J. Lo. That person on the screen is just Judy. Luckily, I got to spend time with her and see who she was alone and as a mother.”

Affleck praises Lopez’s ‘spectacular’ performance
Affleck and Matt Damon produced the film, which tells the inspiring story of 36-year-old wrestler Anthony Robles.
JLo portrays Judy Robles, Anthony’s mother. Affleck also highly praised Jennifer’s performance, calling her “spectacular.”
“Unstoppable is a very different movie than [Small Things Like These], but in a way it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists,” Ben told Entertainment Toninght just couple of weeks back. “Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jharrel and Bobby Cannavale – all of whom were really passionate about this film.”
After reuniting and marrying in 2022, Jennifer filed for divorce in August 2024. Reports of marital struggles, including living separately, surfaced months before the filing.
“He’s focusing on his work and his kids now,” an insider told InTouch Weekly. “Ben already moved out … They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her.”

Jennifer told Interview Magazine, “I was thinking about this time in my life, and I’m like, ‘That’s not what I thought it was going to turn out like.’ And then I thought, ‘No, this is exactly where I needed to be.’”
