PM Modi to hold Council of Ministers meet today; Omicron, assembly polls likely to be discussed
In view of the increasing number of Omicron coronavirus variants, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a ministerial meeting on Wednesday. According to Livehindustan, a sister publication of the Hindustan Times, the conference is expected to be held at 4 pm.
According to reports, all ministers are expected to participate in the meeting, and matters expected to be discussed include the parliamentary elections in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab next year.
Prime Minister Modi assessed the pandemic at a high-level meeting held last Thursday, and he asked officials to maintain a high degree of vigilance and vigilance in the event of the spread of Omicron.

According to data from the Federal Ministry of Health on Wednesday, India has so far confirmed 781 Omicron variant cases. Delhi reported the largest number of cases of the Omicron variant at 238, followed by Maharashtra (167), Gujarat (73), Kerala (65), Telangana (62) and Rajasthan (46). Other states reporting new variant cases include Karnataka (34), Tamil Nadu (34) and Haryana (12).
A Bloomberg report on Tuesday stated that India may see the growth rate of Covid-19 soar within a few days and enter a strong but short-lived wave of the virus.

The report quoted an expert as saying, “India’s daily cases are likely to experience an explosive growth period, and the intensive growth period will be relatively short.”
Last week, India allowed booster injections and included teenagers between 15 and 18 years of age in ongoing vaccination campaigns. On Tuesday, the local drug regulatory agency approved two other vaccines and Merck’s antiviral drug morupivir.

Vivian looked angry at this incident, even as the rest of the contestants looked on at the verbal spat between the two.
This week, the contestants who were nominated for elimination are Vivian Dsena, Chahat Pandey, Avinash Mishra, Karan Veer Mehra, Digvijay Rathee, Kashish Kapoor and Alice Kaushik. Digvijay got the opportunity to save Kashish from elimination.
