Anushka Sharma’s fans defend her after Shoaib Akhtar’s ‘Virat Kohli shouldn’t have married’ comment: ‘Stupid logic’

Fans of actor Anushka Sharma shrugged off recent comments by former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar. In an interview, Shoaib said that Anushka’s husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, should not be married, suggesting that his poor performance on the pitch had something to do with his marriage to Anushka.

Referring to Virat’s recent decision to resign as Test captain of the Indian cricket team, Shoaib said Virat should focus on playing for 10-12 years instead of getting married. “If I was in his place I wouldn’t even get married. I just scored and loved cricket, 10-12 years of cricket is a different time and won’t come back, I’m not saying it’s wrong to get married , but if you’re playing for India, you’ll enjoy a little time,” he said in an interview with Dainik Jagran.

“There’s pressure from kids, from family. As responsibilities increase, so does pressure. Cricketers only have 14-15 years of career and you stay at your peak for 5-6 years. Those of Virat’s Years have passed and now he has to struggle,” he added, adding that the cricket captain can only marry after retirement.

The logic behind Shoaib’s comment is not for fans of Anushka and Virat. They asked him on Twitter not to drag Virat’s family and personal decisions into the debate. “Shameful. Tried to seek attention by commenting on Virat Kohli’s personal life. He should be talking about Pakistani citizenship and the terrible state of cricket,” one fan tweeted.

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
