Alia Bhatt looks magical in anarkali for Gangubai promotions, Riddhima reacts
Gangubai Katiawadi is about to hit the big screen, and the film’s heroine, Alia Butt, can’t keep her cool. With just a few days left until the film’s premiere, Alia will go out of her way to promote the film, including offering big looks inspired by her character Gangubai. Her latest white anarkali outfit also made a splash on social media, leaving Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Karisma Kapoor fascinated by fashion moments.
On Wednesday night, Alia Bhatt, who is dating Ranbir Kapoor, shared several photos from her Gangubai Kathiawadi promotional shoot on her Instagram page. She donned a gorgeous anarkali in flawless white, the star’s favorite color during the movie’s promotions. “Two more days! #gangubaikathiawadi”, she wrote under the caption of the post. Celebrity stylist Ami Patel styled Alias.
The Alias suit pictured in the photo features Anarkali with a plunging heart neckline, sheer long sleeves, gold sequin embroidery, Kurta covered with organza, a ribbon on the front, a gold floral print and a flowy silhouette.
Alia paired the anarkali with a matching zari dupatta with a gold patti fringe and draped it over the shoulders. A pair of gold-studded tiered earrings and a matching ring complete the actor’s accessory selection.
Finally, a side hairstyle with romantic curls, delicate red curls, nude pink lip color, a dewy base, mascara-adorned lashes and a rosy gloss complete the glamour.
Alias’ post has over 1 million likes and thousands of comments. Many of her followers praised the traditional tailoring moment in the comments section. Ranbir Kapoor’s sisters Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Karisma Kapoor also commented. Riddhima posted a fire emoji, while Karisma posted a white heart emoji.

Sonakshi Sinha asserts that she is unable to return to the role of “maal” on screen: Even then, certain things didn’t feel quite right.
Sonakshi Sinha is experiencing unprecedented fame for her performances on OTT. Her subtle and varied turns in Dahaad last year and Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar this year have wowed her reviewers. Sonakshi said in a Zoom interview that she had worked on some troublesome “big films” when she was younger and that she would never return to those projects where she was referred to as “maal.”

“I haven’t simply stated it for the sake of saying it; you can very clearly see the shift in the sort of parts that I have been portraying from Akira. I’m being faithful to what I said. I doubt I will ever be able to return to being called maal. Everyone needs to take this step, she stated. Sonakshi views the 2016 action movie Akira by AR Murugadoss as the pivotal moment in her professional life. In the movie, she plays a vigilante who defends women from abuse and acid assaults.
Being an artist comes with responsibilities. You’re an inspiration to a lot of people. I firmly believe that, despite my youth, I had the chance to participate in a number of highly significant motion pictures. At that moment, no one in their right mind could have said no. I completed them, but even then, certain things seemed strange. As you develop, people become aware of it, discuss it, and draw it to your awareness. Though critical, it’s beneficial, Sonakshi continued.
Sonakshi’s professional life
Sonakshi had a highly publicised debut alongside Salman Khan in the popular 2010 police comedy Dabangg. Following that, she acted in popular films such Murgadoss’s Rowdy Rathore (2012), Son of Sardaar (2012), Dabangg 2 (2012), and Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014).
Following Akira, Sonakshi acted in the following films: Force 2 (2016), Noor (2017), Ittefaq (2017), Welcome to New York (2018), Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi (2017), Kalank (2019), Khandaani Shafakhana (2019), Mission Mangal (2019), Dabangg 3 (2019), Bhuj: The Pride of India (2021), Double XL (2022), and, this year, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
Her next films include Nikita Roy and the Book of Darkness and Kakuda.
