‘If you’re not hardworking, you can follow the Kambli path,’ Kapil adds of Sachin

The legendary Kapil Dev has praised Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, describing him as “the perfect example of talent and hard work.” Tendulkar, who began his career at the age of 16, went on to become India’s greatest batter of all time, scoring over 34000 runs and 100 international centuries over the course of a 24-year career. Tendulkar holds every batting record known to man, and while highlighting the importance of maximising one’s talent and putting it to good use with hard work, Kapil emphasised how Tendulkar worked on it for over two decades, which helped him become the legend he is today.

“Young people will sometimes take up a hobby in order to impress others. I believe it is critical to first love yourself and then bring passion to whatever you enjoy. Passion, hard work, and commitment are inextricably linked. Sachin Tendulkar is the epitome of talent combined with perseverance. You can follow Vinod Kambli’s path if you are talented but not hardworking enough. Why be concerned about the road ahead if your destiny is beautiful? “During an interaction with Parul University students last week, Kapil was quoted by Entertainment Times as saying.

In terms of his own career, Kapil is the greatest cricketer India has ever produced. Even though Kapil has been retired for 28 years, India has yet to find an all-rounder of his calibre. When reflecting on his own career, Kapil emphasised the importance of pursuing one’s dreams if one is to succeed.

“I’ve never been one to speak much, and I’ve always been a doer. I believe that if you are truly committed, you can accomplish anything. I used to play for hours at a time when I was a kid, and I didn’t know the difference between day and night. I’d be perplexed as to why I couldn’t play at night. When you’re in love with something, you lose track of time and everything else “Kapil brought up the subject.
