Jeena Zaruri Hai, Sidharth Shukla’s last song, has been released online

Sidharth Shukla’s most recent song has been released on the internet. The music video, titled Jeena Zaruri Hai, also features Bigg Boss 15 contestant Vishal Kotian. Deepika Tripathy, who also lends her voice to the song, was also a part of the shoot last year.

On Friday, Vishal posted a series of Instagram posts about the song, writing, “Jeena Zaroori Hai – A heart that never forgets feelings. It’s the story of Siddharth Shukla, Vishal Kotian, and Deepika Tripathy, who are all legends in their own right. It’s time to surrender to the flow of love.” Bidyut Kumar directed Jeena Zaruri Hai, and Deepika Padukone and Shabab Sabri sang it.

The song has received a mixed response. While some fans chastised Vishal for releasing it without first seeking permission from Sidharth’s family, others expressed their desire to see Sidharth one last time. “You should confirm if you have the approval of his family or not before releasing it,” one of them wrote. Another person said, “Actually, I don’t want to see this song….but I can’t help but catch a glimpse of his face… Sid, I miss you… Before releasing these people, I hope they sought permission from their families.”

Another expressed interest in seeing behind-the-scenes footage from the video: “Please share the behind-the-scenes footage from this video. Sidharth Shukla, I miss you so much.” Many others demanded that the song be removed within two hours, or they would file a mass report and have it taken down.

Sidharth’s family released a statement earlier this year urging producers not to use the late actor’s work without his permission. Although the statement made no mention of any specific producer or work, most fans assumed it was about his Vishal song.

Vishal had responded to the statement in a January interview with Hindustan Times, saying, “Sidharth has stated in videos that he is very excited and happy about the song. So, who are you going to believe? Is it the man or a statement? Sidharth has also received his pay and everything is in order. It’s not just Sidharth’s work; it’s also my project. What’s wrong with it if it has the spot boy, director, and crew, and the producer wants his money? I’m just trying to figure it out. I don’t believe anything is wrong. Because this isn’t my project, I’ll leave it up to the music producers to contact them.”

He added, “They should come to me if they have any concerns. And I will gladly listen to their concerns. Instead of issuing a statement, they could have contacted the company directly and requested to see the footage. Everything would have been settled in a friendly manner.”

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
