According to Janhvi Kapoor, her parents urged her to wed anybody she chose
Janhvi Kapoor has spoken up about how her late mother Sridevi and father Boney Kapoor didn’t understand the notion of dating and wanted her to marry anybody she liked. The actor is ‘happily single’ at the moment and concentrating on her numerous professional projects.
Recently, Janhvi’s movie Good Luck Jerry debuted on Disney+ Hotstar. She has already finished working on Bawaal with Varun Dhawan and is currently working on Mr. and Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao. Additionally, she is planning to release Mili, a Boney production.
Dating has always been a situation, Janhvi said in an interview with Filmfare while discussing how her parents disagreed with her about it. I’m not sure why, but mom and dad have always been quite dramatic about it. It’s similar to saying, “Come to us when you fancy a person, and we’ll get you married.” I thought, “Wha—?” You are aware that we are not required to marry every man we fancy. We too can be laid back. She asks, “What does “cool” mean?” They lack an understanding of the concept of chill.
Janhvi recently acknowledged that she was “happily single, lonely at times” during her visit on The Ranveer Show. In a previous statement, Janhvi had made a relationship-related allusion. She had said, “Intimacy has become so accessible that it’s really convenient to obtain it whenever they want it and that also makes individuals too terrified to commit to it. They are prevented from developing genuine connections with others because they are too terrified by intimacy and may obtain it whenever they want.
In the 2018 movie Dhadak, Janhvi made her acting debut opposite Ishaan Khatter. Boney Kapoor and Sridevi, her parents, also wed in a love marriage. Khushi Kapoor, her sister, is currently preparing for her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.
