Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne trailer: Diljit Dosanjh sells underwear, ‘adopts’ father
Diljit Dosanjh, whose most recent movie, Jogi, debuted on Netflix on September 16, is getting ready to star alongside Sargun Mehta in his upcoming Punjabi film, Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne. The next comedy’s humorous trailer was posted by the actor and the production team on Tuesday. Diljit will do anything to become the next “three richest men in the world,” even selling “galaxy” underwear and “adopting” a parent in order to receive insurance benefits.
The first scene of the three-minute Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne video features NRI Diljit Dosanjh riding a bicycle while listening to music with headphones. Then he can be seen speaking to his friends in Punjabi about the “three richest persons in the world.” “How did Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos become the richest men in the world? just because of a thought. He informs them, “We have an idea as well. Then, as they unload supplies from a truck at a grocery shop, he asks the same buddies, “Who are the three richest men in the world in the future? Our trio! As the three of them unite in their preparation for the future, Diljit exclaims, “Come on, baby.”
Then they reveal their first business plan: Lyra galaxy underpants. Diljit is seen presenting his company plan to an enthusiastic group of investors before one of them informs him that “Your ideas are not ready at all.” Diljit and his friends devise another strategy to realise their aspirations of wealth: they “adopt” a parent and launch their firm after his passing using the proceeds from an insurance policy. They must now eliminate a father “whose validity is less.”
Here comes Sargun Mehta. She unintentionally contributes to Diljit’s scheme by supplying information about the health of her patients while working at an old age home. Soon after, Diljit welcomes a “father” home and gives Sargun a hug in appreciation for helping “an orphan” locate his “papaji (dad)”. Prior to the insurance policy going into effect in about 25 days, Diljit must make sure his “father” does not pass away. “So now that this thing is cut to cut,” Diljit says to his insurance agent. It’s a race against the clock.
Despite the fact that “he fell ill as soon as he came” to live with them, Diljit and his buddies do their best to keep his “papaji” alive for the following “25 days.” To the surprise of Diljit and his pals, Diljit’s “father” notices a marked improvement in his health, thus it does not appear that everything is going as planned.
On Monday, Diljit announced the movie’s release date on social media. “Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne… Releasing worldwide – this Dussehra 5th October,” he stated in a post sharing a flyer. Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne, which will be Diljit’s first collaboration with Sargun, is being directed by Amarjit Singh Saron.

Even though Kangana Ranaut has been receiving a lot of attention for her public talks, her comparison of herself to Amitabh Bachchan at a recent speech at an election rally has generated a lot of controversy online.
Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is well-known for her blunt remarks, is presently engaged in the Lok Sabha election campaign. She is a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Himachal Pradesh district of Mandi. Although her statements in public have garnered a lot of attention, her comparison of herself to Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan in a recent speech at an electoral rally has sparked a lot of conversation online.
“Aisa lagta hai ki mano itna pyaar aur itna sammaan, ki wo Kangana, chahe Rajasthan chali jau, chahe mai West Bengal chali jau, chahe mai Delhi chali jau, chahe mai Manipur chali jau, sara desh hairaan hai… Meher daave se keh sakti hu ke Amitabh Bachchan ji ke baad aaj kisiko industri me milta hai to wo mujhe milta hai (The entire country is startled… there seems to be so much love and respect everywhere I go, whether it Rajasthan, West Bengal, Delhi, or Manipur). At the gathering, she declared, “I can state with confidence that, after Amitabh Bachchan, if anyone receives such love and respect in the industry, it is me.
Since then, the video of her statement has gone viral and sparked a range of emotions from online users. Despite her recent run of box office disappointments, many people have expressed sarcasm over her comparison to one of Bollywood’s most beloved legends. After releasing her final successful movie in 2015, Kangana has a string of 15 consecutive failures. As it shared the video on X (previously Twitter), a verified parody account said, “Here she is comparing herself to Amitabh Bachchan 😂😂.”
Another Twitterati said, “Judging by her speeches, Kangana Ranaut might be the first actress in the nation to get a national award for her role as an election candidate.”
It was called the “best joke of the year” by one user and the “peak level of self-obsession” by another.
“The next stage of self-obsession is this.” Following a string of poor performances, Kangana Ranaut equated herself to Amitabh Bachchan. According to a verified X account that supports the Congress, “Nobody has ever insulted Amit Ji like this before.”
In response, another Twitter user sent a photo of the headline of an old news story detailing Kangana’s 2022 action film Dhaakad’s poor box office performance—which ended up being a huge failure. The headline stated, “Dhaakad box office collection: Kangana Ranaut’s film sells 20 tickets and collects Rs 4420 on day 8.”
The seventh and final round of the current general elections is set to take place on June 1, with elections for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat. Ram Swaroop Sharma of the BJP won the seat in 2019, however it was left empty after his death in 2021. Pratibha Singh of the Congress won the seat back in the ensuing by-election later that year.
