Review of the movie Buffoon: a good thriller.

Buffoon Movie Plot Summary: Two koothu performers are unjustly accused of drug smuggling and used as pawns in a political power struggle. How long can they avoid a focused police search?

Review of the movie Buffoon: The story of Buffoon, a good thriller that depicts the connection between politicians, gangsters, and cops, is set in the coastal region of southern Tamil Nadu. However, what distinguishes the film, directed by Ashok Veerappan, from other ones set in this area is how it uses the political landscape of this place to build a compelling story. The movie, in a refreshing change, goes right to the action when Rangarajan (Aadukalam Naren), a displeased politician, informs his party leader (VIS Jayapalan).

The CM chooses to target Dhanapalan, Rangarajan’s muscle (Joju George, in a part that is more of an extended cameo). In the process, Kumaran (Vaibhav, who does a good job portraying a gullible young man who becomes involved in something more complicated and sinister), a therukoothu artist who accepts a job as a driver, is detained by the police. They accuse him of smuggling drugs and identify him as the enigmatic Dhanapalan. With assistance from Kumaran’s love interest Ilayaal (Anagha, who is rather let down by the dubbing), a Sri Lankan refugee, the two manage to escape and attempt to flee the country, but the cops, lead by a determined SP Haridas (Tamilarasan), are set on tracking them down to facilitate the CM’s political power game.

The film has a Karthik Subbaraj feel to it thanks to the subplot regarding the hardship of Sri Lankan immigrants and the Rajinikanth tributes (Haridas’ ringtone). The film’s presenter is the director.

The writing of Ashok Veerappan is meticulous, and his filming is so assured that he effortlessly draws the audience into the story’s world. The romance track between Kumaran and Ilayaal is the lone area that lacks credibility. We wish it had been written more skillfully, despite the fact that it is essential to the plot’s growth. With his score, Santhosh Narayanan intensifies the tension in the moments.

Kangana Ranaut compares herself to Big B, saying, “After Amitabh Bachchan, if someone has received so much love…,” to which internet users respond, “best joke.”

Even though Kangana Ranaut has been receiving a lot of attention for her public talks, her comparison of herself to Amitabh Bachchan at a recent speech at an election rally has generated a lot of controversy online.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is well-known for her blunt remarks, is presently engaged in the Lok Sabha election campaign. She is a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Himachal Pradesh district of Mandi. Although her statements in public have garnered a lot of attention, her comparison of herself to Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan in a recent speech at an electoral rally has sparked a lot of conversation online.

“Aisa lagta hai ki mano itna pyaar aur itna sammaan, ki wo Kangana, chahe Rajasthan chali jau, chahe mai West Bengal chali jau, chahe mai Delhi chali jau, chahe mai Manipur chali jau, sara desh hairaan hai… Meher daave se keh sakti hu ke Amitabh Bachchan ji ke baad aaj kisiko industri me milta hai to wo mujhe milta hai (The entire country is startled… there seems to be so much love and respect everywhere I go, whether it Rajasthan, West Bengal, Delhi, or Manipur). At the gathering, she declared, “I can state with confidence that, after Amitabh Bachchan, if anyone receives such love and respect in the industry, it is me.

Since then, the video of her statement has gone viral and sparked a range of emotions from online users. Despite her recent run of box office disappointments, many people have expressed sarcasm over her comparison to one of Bollywood’s most beloved legends. After releasing her final successful movie in 2015, Kangana has a string of 15 consecutive failures. As it shared the video on X (previously Twitter), a verified parody account said, “Here she is comparing herself to Amitabh Bachchan 😂😂.”

Another Twitterati said, “Judging by her speeches, Kangana Ranaut might be the first actress in the nation to get a national award for her role as an election candidate.”

It was called the “best joke of the year” by one user and the “peak level of self-obsession” by another.

“The next stage of self-obsession is this.” Following a string of poor performances, Kangana Ranaut equated herself to Amitabh Bachchan. According to a verified X account that supports the Congress, “Nobody has ever insulted Amit Ji like this before.”

In response, another Twitter user sent a photo of the headline of an old news story detailing Kangana’s 2022 action film Dhaakad’s poor box office performance—which ended up being a huge failure. The headline stated, “Dhaakad box office collection: Kangana Ranaut’s film sells 20 tickets and collects Rs 4420 on day 8.”

The seventh and final round of the current general elections is set to take place on June 1, with elections for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat. Ram Swaroop Sharma of the BJP won the seat in 2019, however it was left empty after his death in 2021. Pratibha Singh of the Congress won the seat back in the ensuing by-election later that year.
