James Bond job offered to Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who will take Daniel Craig’s spot

Who would play James Bond after Daniel Craig revealed he was leaving the espionage series after his film No Time to Die (2021) has been the subject of much conjecture. Though no casting announcements have been made yet, a recent story from The Sun claims that British actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been formally offered the role of the next James Bond.

As per the report, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is anticipated to assume the position of 007, succeeding Daniel Craig, who has portrayed the most renowned spy for MI6 for fifteen years. “Bond is Aaron’s job, should he wish to accept it,” a source told the site. They have placed the official offer on the table and are awaiting a response.”

Now that Daniel Craig’s fifteen-year James Bond career comes to an end with No Time to Die, Aaron Taylor-Johnson may be the new 007 and the franchise’s future.

The 26th Bond film is reportedly scheduled to begin production later this year under the label Eon Productions, with Kick-Ass, Tenet, and Bullet Train star Aaron Taylor-Johnson at the top of the cast. According to the insider, “Aaron will sign his contract with Eon in the coming days, so they can start getting ready for the big announcement.”

Actors such James Norton, Idris Elba, Henry Cavill, and Oscar winner Cillian Murphy were among those Aaron was vying with for the part. The initial rumors about Aaron’s covert screen test at Pinewood Studios for Bond film supremo Barbara Broccoli surfaced in 2022.

Although not many facts about Bond 26 have been made public yet (perhaps because they haven’t even been worked out), it has been confirmed that production is underway. Insiders at The Sun have now revealed that a script is being worked on, and that Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire will host production.

Regarding Bond 26, the most important question is: who will take Daniel Craig’s place as James Bond? The major names in the discussion have been bandied around for years, such as Tom Hardy (Venom) and Idris Elba (The Suicide Squad). Idris Elba has stated in public that he is happy to be frequently fancasted, but he doesn’t want the part. Henry Cavill, who is most known for his roles as Superman in the DCEU and Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher, seems to be another contender for the role of the next James Bond.

Law Roach, Zendaya’s stylist, criticises the “big 5” companies for their previous rejections, saying, “If you say no, it’ll be no forever.”

Law Roach, Zendaya’s stylist, criticises the “big 5” companies for their previous rejections, saying, “If you say no, it’ll be no forever.”

In a recent episode of The Cutting Room Floor podcast, hosted by Recho Omondi, Law Roach, Zendaya’s longtime personal stylist, disclosed that when she first started her career, major fashion firms turned her down.

“When I would write to Dior, Valentino, Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Chanel, they would all reply, ‘No, try again next year.’” She is very green. Our calendar doesn’t include her,” Roach recollected. “I still own every receipt. Everything is still with me.

With the exception of Valentino, has Zendaya worn any of the “Big 5” on carpets to date?

Designers’ perceptions of clothes did not shift until Zendaya became well-known, making her debut at the Met Gala at the age of eighteen and landing her first American Vogue cover two years later. Law stated that their first hesitation will always be remembered.

She had yet to wear any of those designers when she arrived at American Vogue. He noted that “she still hasn’t,” adding that the Dune actress only started donning Valentino in public after inking a significant deal with the company in 2020.

When Omondi voiced his shock at this, Law said that Zendaya hasn’t worn anything from any of those brands aside from editorial shoots and she won’t be wearing anything from them anytime soon because they rejected her so quickly in the first place.

She has yet to don a Dior outfit on a carpet. She has yet to don a Chanel carpet piece. She still hasn’t worn Gucci on a carpet, regardless of appearance or publicity. Never, he uttered. “That rang true for a long, long time when I said, ‘If you say no, it’ll be a no forever,’ because the first public appearance of her wearing Valentino was when she was under contract.”

Why does Zendaya wear mostly antique clothing?

Famous for creating historic outfits for his clientele, Roach recently said in a Vogue interview that when he and Zendaya first started working together, it was “necessity” for him to go through archives because so few designers were willing to wear her.

“For the past 13 years, since Zendaya and I started working together, we have been [pulling vintage]. When we initially started, no one would lend her things, so at first, it was a need, he told Vogue in February. “As I own a vintage store in Chicago and am from the vintage scene, many of the items she wore were either vintage or from my store.”
