Ahan on Salman kissing Tadap poster at premiere: ‘It’s a dream come true’

Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty made his Bollywood debut with Tara Sutaria in last year’s issue of Tadap. In a recent interview, Ahan opened up about how superstar Salman Khan kissed the Tadaap poster at the premiere and what it meant to him.

At the film’s premiere in December, Salman Khan arrived at the venue and, before meeting the media, walked up to the big movie poster at the venue and kissed it. Suniel Shetty applauded his move and rushed up to give him a hug. Video of the incident went viral on social media, with fans applauding Salman’s move.

Speaking about the incident in a recent interview, Ahan said it was a “dream come true” for him because he’s been a Salman fan since he was a kid. “I adored Mr. Salman since I was a kid – I used to dance to his songs and take off my shirt. Having him turn around and kiss my poster was a dream come true,” Ahan told Pinkvilla. Ahan added that Salman’s gesture was as good as his blessing. He added: “He gave me his blessing and I still can’t believe it.”

Tadap is a remake of the Telugu movie RX 100. The romantic action drama, directed by Milan Luthria, opened in theaters on December 3 last year. However, the film didn’t do much at the box office, grossing just under Rs 350 crore, with many industry experts attributing the lukewarm business to Covid-19 and poor word of mouth.

Ahan revealed to Pinkvilla that he has since signed multiple film deals with Sajid Nadiadwala’s production company. However, the exact timeline for his films and how many he signed on remains unclear.

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
