Ahead of December 31, Rahul Gandhi travels to Italy on ‘personal visit’, Punjab rally postponed

Rahul Gandhi, former chairman and member of parliament, has flown to Italy for a “personal visit.” When the Wayana German Councilor is visiting abroad, the political parties are preparing for the polls in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur that will expire next year.

Rahul was originally scheduled to speak at a party rally in the Moga district of Punjab on January 3 to begin his campaign in the state. However, it is likely to be postponed now.

Before the winter meeting of Parliament, he traveled abroad for nearly a month, but returned the day before the meeting began.

“Rahul Gandhi is on a short personal visit. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its media friends should not spread unnecessary rumors,” Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala told ANI.

At the same time, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) also plans to conduct election campaigns in the state at the same time.

According to sources from the party, the Saffron Party will start a poll in Punjab, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold a rally in the state on January 5.

This will be the first gathering of Indian Prime Minister Modi in Punjab after the abolition of three agricultural laws.

The BJP will form an alliance with Captain Amarinder Singh’s Punjab People’s Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal-SAD (Sanyukt) to conduct polls in the state.

A BJP source told ANI that former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa will also participate in the rally.

Amarinder and Sukhdev met with Federal Minister of the Interior Amit Shah and BJP Chairman JP Nadda in Delhi on Monday to discuss the issue of seat sharing.

At the same time, the Punjab Congress will not start until Rahul returns to India.

In the 2017 Punjab Parliamentary Poll, Parliament overthrew the SAD-BJP government after winning 77 seats.
