Aryan Khan drugs case: NCB probes extortion charge against Sameer Wankhede

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) began an investigation on Monday about its Mumbai regional director Sameer Wankhede’s experience with actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

After being arrested in a drug attack, he participated in accusations of extortion of 25 Crore rupees. People familiar with the matter said that the vigilance investigation was led by the NCB North District Deputy Director (DDG), and Gyaneshwar Singh rushed to Mumbai to investigate the allegations made by one of the agency’s own witnesses in a drug case.

The independent witness Prabhakar Sail also claimed in an affidavit that investigators asked him to sign a blank paper.

“We have started a vigilance investigation based on the public affidavit and the report received from our southwestern DDG (Mutha Ashok Jain),” said Gyaneshwar Singh, who is also the agency’s chief vigilance officer.

When asked if Wankhede will continue to lead the investigation during the investigation, Singh said: “It is too early to say anything. We have just begun. Let us investigate these allegations first.” Wankhede arrived in Delhi on Monday night and denied it. These allegations.

The development occurred on the day when the Mumbai court rejected the NCB’s request to dismiss Sail’s affidavit. Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik accused Wankhede of forging his personal documents. The Indian Revenue Agency officials in the 2008 batch denied this allegation.

On October 2, Wankhede led the NCB to raided the Cordelia cruise ship docked at the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal to disrupt the rave party. The next day, the agency arrested Aryan Khan and charged the 23-year-old man with consumption and conspiracy under the strict Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Aryan is currently in Arthur Road Prison in Mumbai, and his bail application will be heard by the Mumbai High Court on Tuesday.

Wankhede stated that 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of mephedrone, 21 grams of Charas, 22 ecstasy pills (ecstasy) and 133,000 rupees in cash were recovered from the ship. Since then, 20 people have been arrested under various parts of the NDPS Act, including event management professionals in Delhi, Nigerian nationals and drug dealers in Mumbai. Investigators later visited Shah Rukh Khan’s home and called the actor Ananya Panday to ask her name after she appeared in Aryan’s WhatsApp conversation.

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
