Aryan Khan’s bail plea hearing to continue in Bombay high court today

The Mumbai High Court will resume hearing Aryan Khan’s bail request for drug seizures on board the cruise ship. The hearing will resume at 2:30 this afternoon.

At the hearing on Khan’s bail request on Tuesday — the third time since his arrest on October 3 — the 23-year-old lawyer told the High Court that Aryan should be released on bail because no drugs were found on him .

They also stated that the WhatsApp conversation used by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has nothing to do with the cruise ship where Aryan Khan was arrested three weeks ago. Former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi is a member of the senior legal team seeking bail for the son of actor Shah Rukh Khan.

Aryan Khan is currently being held in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Prison on charges of alleged consumption and conspiracy under the strict Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) law. Rohatgi, who represents Aryan, argued that his client was invited on the cruise ship as a special guest, and no drugs were recovered from him, and no medical examination was performed to show that he was taking drugs. “There is no recovery, no consumption, I admit that I was wrongly arrested,” he emphasized.

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
