As they run into each other in Mumbai, Govinda and Chunky Pandey exchange a hug.

Chunky Pandey and Govinda were spotted together in Mumbai. Many fans recalled their 1993 film Aankhen, in which they played brothers Munnu and Bunnu. The duo are seen hugging each other in a video shared by a paparazzo account. The Bollywood stars reportedly came together for a project shoot. After hugging, Govinda rushed to his vanity van, followed by Chunky on the other side of the road.

Aankhen was released in 1993, and was the highest-grossing Indian film of 1993. One fan joked, “Definitely cred ka ad hoga” (It must be Cred’s ad). Another asked, “Is Aankhen 2 on cards?”. Govinda has enjoyed great superstardom. He has ruled it since 1991, from say Shola Aur Shabnam till mid-2000s. To stand up against Amitabh Bachchan in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, you need to be a good actor.

“I would have Govinda and I play these two brothers and having kids who can take it forward would be a great combination,” he said.

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
