Before the wedding, Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar made drunk calls to Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif
Vicky Kaushal was denied the chance to invite Karan Johar and many other members of the entertainment community to his private wedding to Katrina Kaif last year. Soon after Vicky took a seat on the Koffee With Karan couch for season 7, Karan remarked that he was not invited to his “wonderful” wedding and added that, when prompted about it, Vicky wasn’t even upset about it.
Before Vicky could explain how he and Katrina Kaif were “feeling horribly horrible” about it, Karan interrupted and revealed how he and Alia had drunk-dialed Vicky right before the wedding. Karan described the incident, saying, “Me and Alia had drunk-dialed him from Delhi once. We were shooting while sipping wine and admiring the stars when we thought, “Who do we call?” We stated that Vicky and Katrina should be called. It happened just before their nuptials (wedding). We contacted them and expressed our happiness for them, saying, “Our hearts are delighted for you.” Since Katrina is beloved by both of us. You and I met considerably later, but I’ve known Katrina for a long time.
As Katrina had mentioned her preference for Vicky during her participation on Koffee With Karan, Karan also claimed credit for the romance between Vicky and Katrina. Much later, the two developed a friendship.
In Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, Katrina and Vicky exchanged vows in a small gathering of friends and family at a historic hotel. The pair did not publicly disclose the closely guarded nuptials until they posted their initial wedding photos on Instagram.
“Only love and appreciation in our hearts for everything that got us to this point,” the pair stated on their individual Instagram sites after posting the first images from the wedding ceremony. We are starting a new journey together and I am asking for all your love and blessings.

The new series introduces Bigg Boss 17 fame Vikas Jain as Colonel Sanjay Singh and actor Gauahar Khan as Lieutenant Colonel Simarjeet Kaur, a cadet trainer specializing in weaponry. Sandeep also elaborated on the storytelling approach, mentioning, “We spent six months brainstorming to develop a story that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Unlike the usual television narratives, Fauji 2 has a unique storytelling style.”
“It’s rich in emotion and offers a close look at the lives of army personnel, their bonds despite cultural and religious differences, and their dedication to safeguarding the country. Fauji 2 is a tale of courage and inspiration,” he added.
Navneet Kumar Sehgal, Chairman of Doordarshan, highlighted the enduring legacy of the original show, stating, “Fauji, one of our most prestigious shows, continues to rule hearts, and it just had to come back for today’s audience.” He expressed excitement for viewers to experience the valour of army officers once again.
Gaurav Dwivedi, CEO of Doordarshan, echoed this sentiment, noting, “When we came across the concept of Fauji 2, it took us no time to begin working on this iconic project. The show will be on-air very soon, and we are ecstatic to bring the magic of Fauji back to the Indian audience,” as per the press release shared by the Fauji 2 team.
Adding to the series’ allure, singer Sonu Nigam has lent his voice to the title track. Fauji 2 will feature 11 songs, with music composed by Filmfare Award-winning music director Shreyas Puranik, along with contributions from Shashi Suman and Jazim Sharma.

The series also marks the directorial debut of Abhinav Pareek. Fauji 2 will air on Doordarshan in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Bengali, making it accessible to a wide audience. The release date of the show is yet to be announced.
