Two women died of their injuries on Thursday morning, bringing the death toll in the Kushnagar incident to 13. According to police, the incident happened at Nebua Naurangia in Kushnagar at around 8.30pm on Wednesday, when a piece of the fountain on which some people were sitting during the wedding ceremony burst due to an overload.

Some women and girls gathered by a covered well in the Nebua Naurangia area of ​​Kushnagar for a “Haldi” ceremony called “Matkodva”. The slabs failed to support the women’s weight and collapsed, causing several women to fall into the well.
