Diljit Dosanjh will make his Tonight Show debut with Jimmy Fallon
Diljit Dosanjh’s remarkable accomplishments in the music industry are reaching yet another significant milestone. The actor-singer frequently promotes Punjabi music on international stages, and he will soon be a guest on Jimmy Fallon’s wildly popular show, The Tonight Show.

Diljit made the announcement along with a number of photos in a new Instagram post on Wednesday. The caption read, “PANJABI AAGYE OYEE.” The Guests of This Week.” A photo displayed the week’s guest list for the hit show, which featured well-known stars including Eddie Murphy, Kevin Costner, and Matty Matheson from The Bear.
Diljit has a long history of making history. As part of the Dil-Luminati tour, the singer broke a new record in April by being the first Punjabi musician to perform at Vancouver’s BC Place stadium. Additionally, he shared images of the jam-packed show on Instagram with the description, “HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN (writing emoji), BC PLACE STADIUM (building emoji), SOLD OUT (face with goggles emoji), DIL-LUMINATI TOUR (monster emoji).”
As the first Punjabi artist to appear at Coachella, Diljit wowed a raucous crowd with his performance last year. “Punjabi aa gaye Coachella oye” was his stage entrance announcement, and the video quickly went viral on social media.
Recently, Diljit appeared alongside Parineeti Chopra in Imtiaz Ali’s musical biography Amar Singh Chamkila. In the movie Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, he also played a supporting part.
The next film starring him is Juliet and Betty 3. On June 11, the movie’s trailer was unveiled. It will be released on June 27 and stars Neeru Bajwa as well.

Rajkummar Rao has addressed the viral moment where Patralekhaa put sindoor on his forehead at their 2021 wedding.
Rajkummar Rao has opened up about the unusual incident from his 2021 wedding to Patralekhaa, where she put sindoor (vermillion) on his forehead instead of the other way around. In an interview with Mojo Story, Rajkummar addressed the moment when Patralekhaa applied the sindoor to his forehead and said, “At that moment it was very impulsive, I felt why is it just her wearing the sindoor, mangalsutra and chooda? I thought she had to wear and do so much, what I am doing? I was just wearing the ring. I just asked her, ‘You should also put sindoor on me. It should be equal’.” Rajkummar said that Patralekha was ‘overwhelmed’ at that moment, and though it became huge later, they didn’t think it was anything ‘out of the box’.
Rajkummar on wanting to know the meaning behind rituals
The actor added that he and Patralekhaa were uncomfortable with some of the rituals, particularly the vachans (vows) the bride has to take. “Even during our pheras, we wanted to know what was the Pandit ji saying? We asked him the meaning behind every mantra. We weren’t comfortable with some of the vachans that Patralekha had to take. For instance, there was one vachan which said that she can’t get angry at me and I was like this one is not happening, it’s not valid,” the actor added.
Rajkummar and Patralekha met in 2010 while trying to make a mark in the industry. They shot a music video together and began dating soon after. The couple tied the knot on November 15, 2021 in Chandigarh. They recently celebrated their third wedding anniversary.
