He hasn’t been paying alimony, has blocked our son’s number: Raghubir’s estranged wife

The couple got separated in 1995. Raghubir Yadav’s wife Purnima told that she wasn’t paid for five months last year. She had to leave her house in Yari Road as she couldn’t pay the rent on time. She said that she is in debt and had to mortgage her gold. The same thing happened this year. She went unpaid for four months. She received Rs.80,000 for two months. This was two months before their date in court.

The Lagaan actor’s lawyer told the daily that what Purnima has been asking for is a huge amount. This is the reason why there hasn’t been any settlement in the case. The lawyers alleged the case is being dragged after all these years. The lawyer added that Purnima should take Raghubir Yadav’s age into consideration. He is 71 years old now.

However, Purnima’s lawyer Ishika Tolani said that Raghubir Yadav’s career is on the right track and paying alimony to her shouldn’t pose a challenge to him. After living separately for 15 years, Purnima decided to file a divorce petition last year accusing him of desertion and adultery. The couple has a 30-year-old son.

Family Star review

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.

The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
