IMD forecast: Rainfall, cold conditions, dense fog predicted for these states

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rainfall is likely to decrease significantly in the western Himalayas and eastern and northeastern India from today. The Meteorological Department also forecasts fairly widespread rainfall including thunderstorms, lightning and hail over West Bengal and Sikkim regions south of the Himalayas today.

Widespread light to moderate rain and thunderstorms are possible in northeastern India, with isolated heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh over the next 24 hours. Under the influence of a weak western disturbance, the western Himalayas are likely to be affected by sporadic light rain on February 6-7.

Under the influence of another western disturbance, light/moderate rains are likely to spread fairly widely in the Western Himalayas on February 8-9. Isolated light rain is forecast for the northern regions of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on February 8-9.

Over the next 24 hours, cold to severe cold weather is possible in some parts of Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Northwestern Uttar Pradesh. Over the next 2-3 days, dense fog is expected over the plains of northwestern India.

Over the next two days, some areas in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, northern Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh may experience heavy fog at night and in the morning.

By February 5, the induced cyclone circulation in North Haryana and nearby areas is likely to move from northwest India to east-northeast, the MeT department said.

Partha Sarathi Deb passed away on Friday, and his remains were taken to Technician’s Studio at 12 pm.

Bengali actor Partha Sarathi Deb, aged 68, passed away at a Kolkata hospital while undergoing treatment, according to his family.

Partha passed away at 11:50 pm on Friday night due to COPD-related ailments. He had been admitted to state-run M R Bangur hospital for the last month, and his condition worsened over the past week, and he was in the ICU.

Actor Jeet expressed sadness over the loss of colleague and WBAF committee member Partha Sarathi Deb on X, sharing a photo and offering condolences to his bereaved family and friends.

Actress Rupanjana Mitra announced the news on Facebook, writing a lengthy note in Bengali.

Partha, the vice president of the West Bengal Motion Picture Artists Forum, condoled the death of actor Amit Shah and announced that his body would be taken to Technician Studio, a familiar place for him.

The forum is deeply saddened by the actor’s passing and will keep his remains at Technician’s Studio on March 23, where his loved ones, teammates, and well-wishers can pay their last respects.
