India reports 96,982 new COVID-19 cases, 446 deaths in last 24 hrs
The second wave of Corona in the country continues to wreak havoc. After the arrival of 96,982 new cases of corona in the last 24 hours in India, the total number of positive cases has increased to 1,26,86,049. At the same time, after 446 new deaths, the figure of total deaths has reached 1,65,547.
With this, the total number of active cases in the country has increased to 7,88,223. Also, so far, a total of 8,31,10,926 people have been vaccinated with the corona vaccine.
The central government has expressed concern over the ever increasing cases of corona. Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has called a meeting of Health Ministers of all states.
At the same time, Prime Minister Modi will interact with the Chief Ministers of all the states and union territories through video conferencing on April 8.
Maharashtra has the highest number of corona infection cases. A partial lockdown has also been imposed in many cities. New cases are also increasing daily in Delhi, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh.
