Jimmy Kimmel gets teary-eyed during monologue on US election results: ‘Bad night for everyone who voted for him’

Jimmy Kimmel delivered an emotional monologue post Donald Trump’s victory in US Presidential Election 2024. The host called it a sad night for journalism.

Jimmy Kimmel, known for his satirical views on cinema, society and politics recently got emotional after the US Presidential Election results were declared. The television host and producer called it a sad day for women and children, immigrants and democracy. Jimmy, while delivering his monologue on his show – Jimmy Kimmel Live stated that it was a bad night for everyone, even those who voted for US President elect Donald Trump. Jimmy Kimmel tears up post US Election results

While speaking about the US Presidential Election 2024 results, Jimmy said, “Let’s be honest, it was a terrible night last night. It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hard working immigrants who make this country go, for health care, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech. It was a terrible night for poor people, for the middle class, for seniors who rely on Social Security, for our allies in Ukraine, for NATO and democracy and decency. And it was a terrible night for everyone who voted against him. And guess what? It was a bad night for everyone who voted for him too. You just don’t realize it yet.”

Bollywood reacts to US Presidential Election results

The US Presidential Election also received reactions from Bollywood celebrities as well. Post Donald Trump’s victory, actor-politician Kangana Ranaut took a jibe at Hollywood celebrities supporting Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and tweeted, “Do you know Kamala’s ratings went drastically down when these clowns endorsed her, people thought she was frivolous, flaky and untrustworthy for hanging out with such people (laughing face emoji).” Indian actor and comedian Vir Das took to is Twitter handle and wrote, “Well, this Emmy monologue is going to be fun 🙂 The energy in the room is going to be…..” He is set to host the International Grammys this time.

Nargis Fakhri makes first post since sister’s arrest in murder case: ‘We are coming for you’

Nargis Fakhri shares first post on Instagram after her sister Aliya Fakhri’s arrest in murder case in the US. The actor did not address the controversy still.

Nargis Fakhri‘s daughter Aliya Fakhri was recently arrested in the US for allegedly murdering her ex-boyfriend and one of his friends. While her mother defended her, Nargis has maintained silence on the matter. However, the actor as now shared a post which is going viral on social media.

Nargis Fakhri’s Instagram post

Nargis Fakhri took to Instagram stories and shared a picture with her Housefull 5 co-stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonam Bajwa from the sets and wrote, “we are coming for you.” In the photo, the three ladies looked excited as they posed together while getting ready.

A source close to India Today told the publication that Nargis Fakhri hasn’t been in contact with her sister for over 20 years and only got to know about the incident through news. “She has not been in touch with her sister for over 20 years. The actor learned about the incident through the news, just like everyone else,” the source stated. On the other hand, their mother defended Aliya and said, “I don’t think she would be killing someone. She was a person who was caring for everybody. She tried to help everybody,” multiple news outlets reported.

What did Aliya Fakhri do?

Aliya Fakhri allegedly set a two-storey garage on fire by lighting up a heap of garbage in Queens killing his 35-year-old ex-boyfriend Edward Jacobs and his friend, 33-year-old Anastasia Ettienne. Aliya took this step after her ex-boyfriend denied her request to reconcile their relationship. She now faces a total of nine charges, four for a first-degree murder, four for second-degree murder and an arson charge and will appear in court on December 9.
