JLo named-dropped in Diddy’s 0m sexual assault lawsuit court docs: Singer to testify against ex-boyfriend?

Male prisoner suing Diddy for allegedly drugging and molesting him has plans to call Jennifer Lopez to testify against her ex-boyfriend. Jennifer Lopez has noticeably distanced herself from allegations surrounding her ex-boyfriend Sean.

Diddy” Combs as tabloids continue churning out a flurry of reports about her divorce. Her split from her husband, Ben Affleck, has presumably been nothing short of heartbreaking, but it has also bittersweetly granted her respite from the Diddy headlines.

However, a new legal development may just work its way as her silence-breaker. Prisoner Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, suing the Bad Boy Records founder over an alleged 1997 sexual assault, has reportedly hatched plans to bring in Lopez as a witness in the case.

According to InTouchWeekly, recent documents suggest that the Michigan Department of Corrections inmate named “Jennifer Lynn Lopez aka Jenny from the Block,” calling her to testify. JLo and Diddy dated from 1999 to 2001. As a result, Derrick believes that the songbird actress may be harbouring some information about the alleged assault that could back his arguments.

Male prisoner’s allegations against Diddy

Meanwhile, his own first Diddy meet-up happened back when Cardello-Smith was employed as a bartender. As far as his side of the story goes, the disgraced hip-hop mogul invited him to a sex party at a hotel.

where the “Bad Boy for Life” drugged and molested him. Several Diddy accusers have similarly alleged that the 55-year-old music star laced their drinks before sexually assaulting them in an intoxicated state. When Smith finally gained consciousness he saw Combs sexually involved with another woman, to which he allegedly said, “I did this to you too!”

Incarcerated in Michigan, Derrick is serving time for unrelated convictions of sexual misconduct and kidnapping. In addition to the sexual assault allegations, the prisoner believes that government officials conspired with the rapper to cover up his purported crimes. He asked for $400 million in damages.

Tussle with Diddy’s legal team

Combs’ lawyer Marc Agnifilo previously blasted Cardello-Smith’s suit, saying, “This is a frivolous lawsuit against a prominent businessman, based on obvious fabrications, filed by a convicted rapist and serial litigant with an overactive imagination and a thirst for fame.” His legal team has since also argued that the claims were filed years after the statute of limitations.

In response to the incendiary counter-argument, Derrick claimed that he waited to go up against Combs because he feared retaliation. Diddy’s team slammed his argument as “not plausible.” The lawyer wrote, “ [Derrick’s] claim that he feared deadly retaliation from [Diddy], which was reasonable because ‘[Diddy] had Tupac Shakur Killed[,]’ is simply incredible. Even accepted at face value, [Derrick’s] story makes little sense.”

Jennifer Lopez has been named as a potential witness in a $400 million sexual assault lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs. The lawsuit was filed by Michigan inmate Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith, who alleges that Combs drugged and assaulted him during a 1997 party. Cardello-Smith.

currently incarcerated for unrelated offenses, claims that after meeting Combs while working as a bartender, he was invited to a private party at a Detroit hotel. There, he alleges, Combs offered him a drink laced with an unknown substance, leading to the principal on unconsciousness. Upon regaining consciousness, Cardello-Smith asserts he witnessed Combs engaging in sexual acts with a woman and was told by Combs, “I did this to you too.”

This lawsuit adds to a series of legal challenges facing Sean Combs, who has been accused of various acts of sexual misconduct by multiple individuals.

LA wildfires might cause the 2025 Oscars to be cancelled for the first time in 96 years: Report

LA wildfires pose a threat on the Oscars. The prestigious award ceremony may be cancelled for the first time in 96 years due to devastation and loss of life.
The devastating Los Angeles wildfires have wreaked havoc on the city, leading to evacuations and loss of lives. Now, according to a report in The Sun, the Oscars awards ceremony is on the verge of being canceled for the first time in its 96-year history because of the deadly wildfires.

Oscars 2025 to be canceled?

An insider told the news portal, “The board’s main concern at this time is to not appear as if they are celebrating while many Angelenos are dealing with heartbreak and unimaginable loss. Even if the fires were to subside in the next week, the reality is that the city is still hurting and will continue to deal with that pain for months. Therefore, the hierarchy has decided that the focus will shift toward support and fundraising when the right opportunities present themselves.”

A secret “contingency strategy” put in place

Even when the world was in lockdown in 2021, the awards were postponed by two months rather than being canceled. However, the official Academy Awards ceremony, led by stars including Tom Hanks, Emma Stone, Meryl Streep, and Steven Spielberg, are now monitoring the situation in LA to decide whether the ceremony needs to be called off because of the devastation in the city. The devastating wildfires have prompted a secret “contingency strategy” to potentially call off the ceremony. The last time such a strategy was put in place was after 9/11.

According to the report, even if the Oscars awards ceremony does take place, the goody bags worth £140,000 ($171,000) will be scrapped. Previously, the goody bags included a three-night stay in the Swiss Alps, beauty treatments, jewelry, and a £1,000 ($1,220) barbecue grill. However, they have now been deemed “in bad taste” by board members.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has extended the nomination voting period to January 17 and will now announce its nominees at a virtual event on Thursday (January 23). The LA wildfires have destroyed the homes of many A-listers, including Mandy Moore, Paris Hilton, and others. So far, 25 people have lost their lives, and that figure is expected to rise as emergency services continue their search through the rubble.
