John Abraham and wife Priya Runchal test positive for COVID-19, actor says, ‘We both are vaccinated and experiencing mild symptoms’

Actor and producer John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal have tested positive for Covid-19 and are currently in quarantine at home. On Monday, John shared the news on Instagram. He said he had contacted a Covid-positive person three days ago.

He wrote: “Three days ago, I got in touch with someone who later learned that I was infected with the new crown virus. Priya and I tested positive for Covid. We have been isolated at home, so there is no contact with other people.”

He further shared that they were experiencing mild symptoms. “We are all vaccinated and have mild symptoms. Please keep your body healthy. Wear a mask,” he added.

Recently, several other Bollywood actors including Mrunal Thakur, Nora Fatehi, Shanaya Kapoor, Nakuul Mehta shared that they tested positive for Covid-19. Last week, actor Arjun Kapoor, his sister Anshula, cousin Rhea Kapoor, and her husband Karan Bolani tested positive for the novel coronavirus. John celebrated his birthday in December and shared a few rare photos with Priya and his pets, which surprised his fans. In one of the photos, John and Priya can be seen making funny facial expressions. He captioned the post with a black heart emoji.

Fans left a sweet message for the couple in the post. John prefers to keep his personal life away from the public eye and the media. Actors rarely talk about Priya or his marriage in interviews and other social occasions. Priya is an investment banker and a social media hermit.
