Manitou’s New, Dedicated Solutions for Construction
Manitou Group, a globally reputed manufacturer of rough-terrain handling, aerial work platforms and earthmoving equipment, has unveiled new segments in its manufacturing range: compact fixed and ultra-compact telehandlers, and articulated loaders.
It has also undergone a complete overhaul and expansion of its range of rotating telehandlers, which were featured in the digital ‘Build the Future’ event organized by the group and broadcast around the world.
To bring clarity to its range of rotating telehandlers, the group has decided to rename its two ranges as Vision and Vision+.
MRT Product Manager Carlo Alberto Razzoli explains: “We are harmonizing our entire range by making it simple. By modernizing the design and ergonomics of our products, we are now able to offer a single cab across all models of the range , thus providing excellent visibility to the users, irrespective of the model. Having a single cab also means having a common control station on all models, for quicker catch-up.”
Two new machines have been added to this offering along with the MRT 1645 and MRT 1845 models for the Vision range. With an additional load capacity of 500 kg over their predecessors, both these products offer lifting heights of 16 m and 18 m respectively for a load of 4.5 tonnes.
They are also equipped with a new Stage V engine, producing 75 hp and 116 hp of power respectively. The Vision range offers a wide selection of 14 models with heights ranging from 16 m to 25 m for a load capacity of up to 4.5 tonnes.
To further enhance its offerings, the group will launch an ultra-compact rough-terrain telehandler 1.90m high and 1.49m wide (6’2″ x 4’9″) in late 2021.
Previewed at the Build the Future event, these ULM (Ultra-Light Manitou) models boast a weight of just 2,700 kg with the standard attachment and therefore can be transported on a standard trailer without any specific permits.
For the construction sector, but also for landscape gardeners or event teams, they will be distributed to dealer networks, rentals and key accounts in early 2022.
