Pashmina Roshan talks about her depression and her lack of “artistic satisfaction”: Following numerous rejections…
Pashmina Roshan, the cousin of Hrithik Roshan, who will soon make her Bollywood debut in Ishq Vishk Rebound, disclosed her past depression. She also talked candidly about how her love of performing began on the Koi Mil Gaya sets.
She mentioned that she had been “depressed” during a conversation. She remarked, “I wasn’t sure if I could be a decent actor at the beginning. Even though I performed in plays at school, I wasn’t sure. I had therefore submitted marketing applications to several UK institutions. It being summer vacation, I had my visa, and my lodgings were reserved. I was in a deep depression. Every friend of mine would attend events and engage in everything. I used to just sleep in the afternoon.”
Pashmina Roshan revealed that she was unhappy with her planned course of action after carefully considering all of the options. “I didn’t feel that my work in marketing was artistically satisfying; I didn’t think I was good enough.” Since then, I’ve really done a photo shoot to discover my true self. When I showed it to my father and uncle, they agreed that everyone had something worthwhile, but you have to work at it. I started taking dancing and acting classes back-to-back after that. I studied various dance styles, including Bharatanatyam. I began doing consecutive auditions.”
Pashmina finally received an opportunity to participate in Ishq Vishk Rebound after receiving numerous rejections.Following numerous rejections, after consistently assessing myself and taking feedback from family, after many years, I got this opportunity and this film. And I am very grateful for that,” she added.
She recounted how Koi Mil Gaya, which starred Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta, was the movie set when she first developed an interest in acting. “My sister and I used to visit the sets of Koi Mil Gaya when we were very little. In the film city, the creators have recreated Kasauli, the town of Koi Mil Gaya. We used to love it there so much that we didn’t want to go. That’s when my fascination with cinema began. We had a great trainer when I worked in theatres later on, and as a result, we all developed strong acting dedication.”
Jibraan Khan, Naila Grrewal, and Rohit Saraf are also featured in Ishq Vishk Rebound. Speaking of her time spent working with Jibraan and Rohit, she said, “I used to call them multiple times. I used to cry over phone and they both pacified me, which I found the cutest thing about both of them. I also fought a lot with Rohit.”
The movie’s trailer was recently released by the production team. It included romantic avatars of actors Jibraan Khan, Pashmina Roshan, Naila Grrewal, and Rohit Saraf. Rohit Saraf posted the teaser on social media, saying on Instagram, “Ab hoga #PyaarKaSecondRound, with #IshqVishkRebound.” “Full Trailer Now Available: Link in bio; in theatres June 21, 2024.”
The central theme of the teaser is a pair of closest friends who have fallen in love and are currently navigating the challenging waters of their friendship.
Ishq Vishk Rebound is “not a remake or sequel of Ishq Vishk,” according to remarks made by Rohit Saraf at a previous event. The two films have one thing in common: they are part of the same franchise. However, it’s a whole different story—a love tale about Generation Z.
Under the name of Tips Films Limited, the film, which is helmed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari and produced by Ramesh Taurani and Jaya Taurani in addition, is scheduled to hit theatres on June 21.

Food blogger attacked by Swara Bhasker for boasting about being a vegetarian on Twitter: “Smug self-righteousness”
In response to food blogger Nalini Unagar’s “proud to be a vegetarian” tweet, actor Swara Bhasker attacked Unagar. On Sunday, Nalini posted a photo of her lunch at X. It included a paneer dish and fried rice.
What was said by the food blogger?
Nalini shared the picture and added, “I’m happy to be a vegetarian. There are no more tears, cruelty, or guilt on my platter.”
This is Swara’s response.
In response, Swara penned, “To be honest… I find vegetarians’ arrogant self-righteousness to be incomprehensible. Denying the calf its mother’s milk, forcing cows to become pregnant, ripping them from their calves, and taking their milk are the main components of your diet.”
Furthermore, she said, “You eat root vegetables? That eliminates the entire plant! Just because it’s Bakr Eid, don’t stress about virtue signalling (folded hands emojis). June 16–17 is when Bakr Eid, or Eid al-Adha, is observed.
Swara just had her Eid celebration.
A few months after celebrating Eid al-Fitr, Swara posted a tweet. She celebrated the occasion with her daughter Raabiyaa and spouse Fahad Ahmad. On her Instagram Stories, Swara posted snippets of her Eid festivities. Swara and Raabiyaa were shown in one of the stories pointing at the Eid ka Chaand. Another photo shows Swara, her daughter, and Fahad posing as a family. Fahad is Muslim, but Swara is Hindu.
When Swara discussed the cultures of her and Fahad
Swara performed a chhathi puja for Raabiyaa the previous year. She revealed tidbits from the festivities and reported discovering shared cultural experiences with Fahad’s family. “The child is a mish mash of the mish mash we are,” Swara had wrote. She therefore has 62.5% UP, 12.5% Bihar, and 25% Andhra. Furthermore, I support representation and am always up for a celebration! Furthermore, since our wedding, we’ve learned that Muslims and Hindus in North India have common cultural customs, which strengthens my conviction that, despite our variety, love and joy will always find a language.”
“Chhathhi, or the sixth day of a child’s birth, is celebrated throughout UP Bihar. Mom and kid dress in the colour of turmeric or haldi, and aunts or bua put kaajal on the child and parents to protect them from ‘nazar,’ or the evil eye! I’m performing a well-known “sohar”—celebration songs for new babies. Although sohars are often used to celebrate newborn boys, I customised it for a newborn girl—oh! And although sisters and aunts sing the sohars, mothers don’t, so I thought, “Why not?” Dholak aa gaya hai! Thank you to @manisha2967 for the Chhathhi lesson and the beautiful singing I was able to do, and to Bhanu ji @partapsinghb11 for the dholak that helped make my singing pleasant.
