PM Narendra Modi in Uttarakhand today will launch multiple projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Hadwani in Uttarakhand today. The Prime Minister will unveil and lay the foundation for 23 projects worth more than 175 billion rupees.

Among these 23 projects, 17 projects will be worth more than 141 billion rupees. These projects cover a wide range of sectors/fields across the state, including irrigation, roads, housing, sanitation infrastructure, industry, sanitation, drinking water supply, etc. The plan will witness the completion of six projects, including multiple road widening projects, a hydropower project in Pithoragarh, and a project to improve the sewage network in Nainital. The cumulative cost of the projects being completed exceeds 34 billion rupees. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation for the Lakhwar multifunctional project at a cost of approximately 57.5 billion rupees. The project was first conceived in 1976 and has been pending for many years. The Prime Minister’s vision of prioritizing long-pending projects is the force behind the foundation of the project. This nationally important project will be able to irrigate approximately 34,000 hectares of additional land, produce 300 MW of hydroelectric power and provide power to Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan The six states of the state provide drinking water.

According to the Prime Minister’s vision to improve connectivity in remote areas of the country, several road sector projects worth about 87 billion rupees will be completed and laid foundations.

The cornerstone projects include the four lanes of the 85-kilometer Moradabad-Kashipur road that cost more than Rs 40 crore; the two 22-kilometer-long Gadarpur-Dineshpur-Madkota-Haldwani roads (SH-5) and the 18-kilometer Kiccha to Pantnagar ( SH-44) lanes; construction of an 8-km-long Khatima bypass in Udham Singh Nagar; construction of a four-lane national highway (NH109D) at a cost of more than US$1.75 billion. These road projects will improve the connectivity of the Garhwal, Kumaon and Terai regions and the connectivity between Uttarakhand and Nepal. In addition to improving the accessibility of Jim Corbett National Park, the improved connectivity will also benefit the industrial areas of Rudrapur and Lalkuan.

In addition, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for multiple road projects across the state under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna. These projects include the laying of 133 rural roads with a total length of 1,157 kilometers at a cost of more than 625 billion rupees, and the construction of 151 bridges at a cost of approximately 4.5 billion rupees.

Partha Sarathi Deb passed away on Friday, and his remains were taken to Technician’s Studio at 12 pm.

Bengali actor Partha Sarathi Deb, aged 68, passed away at a Kolkata hospital while undergoing treatment, according to his family.

Partha passed away at 11:50 pm on Friday night due to COPD-related ailments. He had been admitted to state-run M R Bangur hospital for the last month, and his condition worsened over the past week, and he was in the ICU.

Actor Jeet expressed sadness over the loss of colleague and WBAF committee member Partha Sarathi Deb on X, sharing a photo and offering condolences to his bereaved family and friends.

Actress Rupanjana Mitra announced the news on Facebook, writing a lengthy note in Bengali.

Partha, the vice president of the West Bengal Motion Picture Artists Forum, condoled the death of actor Amit Shah and announced that his body would be taken to Technician Studio, a familiar place for him.

The forum is deeply saddened by the actor’s passing and will keep his remains at Technician’s Studio on March 23, where his loved ones, teammates, and well-wishers can pay their last respects.
