“Bangladesh invited our president as the guest of honor at this event. He is the only foreign politician who will send a representative to attend. At the same time, our president is also out for the first time since the new crown virus pandemic. Very important,” Shringla said.

Shringla emphasized that the president’s visit provided an opportunity to renew India’s ties with Dhaka, stating that this relationship was based on the common geographic space, heritage, history and common experience that New Delhi supported Bangladesh during the Liberation War.
