Realme 9 Pro+ launch confirmed, its first look and key specifications out
Realme 9 Pro+ is coming to India soon. The company has finally confirmed that there is indeed a Pro+ version this time around, and it will arrive as the high-end model in the range. With the Realme 9 Pro+ at the helm, Realme’s 9 series will feature four phones, including the Realme 9, Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9i, which were launched in India earlier this week. However, Realme’s statement about the 9 Pro+ doesn’t reveal anything other than a new leak surrounding it not only revealing its specs, but also how it will look.
“What do you expect from #realme9Pro+ to make it stand out?” Realme India said on Twitter. The issue is accompanied by a photo announcing the arrival of the “first ever Pro+” of Realme’s digital range. Realme India boss Madhav Sheth previously confirmed that there will be a Realme 9 Pro series, which means there will be 9 Pro+ and 9 Pro in the lineup, if not more. We now know there will be a better top-of-the-line model in the range, but the company hasn’t said how.
We got our first look at the Realme 9 Pro+ thanks to leaks from Smartprix and OnLeaks. The phone looks indistinguishable from the leaked photos of the Realme 9i and Realme 9 Pro. It has the same two large sensors and one small design on the back with a gradient finish on it. The phone has a punch-hole display on the front and a chin on the bottom. On the right is the power button and on the left is the volume rocker. Since the physical fingerprint sensor isn’t visible, I’m assuming the display has it embedded — in which case we’d probably expect an OLED panel on the 9 Pro+.
It’s a good thing we don’t have to guess too much. Smartprix report reveals key specifications of Realme 9 Pro+. It will feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. However, it’s unclear if it supports adaptive switching. The phone is likely to use a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor with at least 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It may feature a custom 50-megapixel Sony sensor with optical image stabilization, which will be a first for India. The sensor will consist of 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. Inside the punch hole will be a 16-megapixel camera. The report claims that the Realme 9 Pro+ may come with a 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
The leaked specs list is limited but detailed enough to understand that the Realme 9 Pro+ will be a high-end phone. The phone’s price hasn’t been leaked yet, but considering last year’s Pro model itself started at Rs 17,999, you can expect it to cost upwards of Rs 20,000. However, the report mentions that the Realme 9 Pro+ will be available in Midnight Black, Aurora Green and Sunrise Blue color options.

Surfaces of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3
Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.
The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.
Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.
It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
