‘Saffron party biggest well-wisher of the Muslim community’: RSS’ minority body ahead of Assembly polls
As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ramps up efforts ahead of parliamentary elections in five states, the Muslim wing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), is reaching out to Muslim voters in these states to seek votes, the BJP said , the saffron party is the biggest blessing for minorities.
Speaking to ANI, Shahid Saeed, the national convenor of the MRM, said: “Around 400 hardworking workers will be working with the BJP to reach Muslim voters. These workers will be led by seven different other designated members. They all lead RSS of the various sectors of the Muslim Wing”.
“There will be a public outreach programme for all the work done by the Yogi-Modi government. At a meeting today, RSS leader Indresh Kumar released an ‘appeal letter’ listing what the BJP government and states have implemented for the welfare of the people Various plans for the Muslim community. The Saffron Party is the biggest blessing for the Muslim community,” Said said.
This “appeal letter” will be distributed in all polled states.
“A seven-member team including Shalini Ali, National Convenor Women’s Wing; Bilal ur Rehman, Madarsa Board Chairman and Hindustani First Convenor, Hindustani Best; Dr Imran Choudhary, UP State Convenor; Hafiz Sabreen, Delhi State convener; Oncologist Dr Majid Tallikoti, national convener for Karnataka; Khursheed Razakka, former chairman Mewat Development Committee and national convener of MRM Youth Wing and Nish Jafri, MRM UP campaigner to lead 400 workers,” Syed added.
Uttar Pradesh will vote in 7 phases from February 10 to March 7, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa on February 14, Manipur on February 27 and Vote on March 3.
Counting will take place on March 10.

Bengali actor Partha Sarathi Deb, aged 68, passed away at a Kolkata hospital while undergoing treatment, according to his family.
Partha passed away at 11:50 pm on Friday night due to COPD-related ailments. He had been admitted to state-run M R Bangur hospital for the last month, and his condition worsened over the past week, and he was in the ICU.
Jeet honours Rupanjana with a lengthy message
Actor Jeet expressed sadness over the loss of colleague and WBAF committee member Partha Sarathi Deb on X, sharing a photo and offering condolences to his bereaved family and friends.
Actress Rupanjana Mitra announced the news on Facebook, writing a lengthy note in Bengali.
Partha, the vice president of the West Bengal Motion Picture Artists Forum, condoled the death of actor Amit Shah and announced that his body would be taken to Technician Studio, a familiar place for him.
The forum is deeply saddened by the actor’s passing and will keep his remains at Technician’s Studio on March 23, where his loved ones, teammates, and well-wishers can pay their last respects.
