Salman Khan and John Travolta pose at awards show, fan calls them ‘two legends’
Salman Khan recently met Hollywood star John Travolta at an awards ceremony in Riyadh. A video of Salman shaking hands with John and introducing himself was shared by a fan. “I work in the Indian film industry and my name is Salman Khan,” he said in the clip.
Later, Salman posed for a photo with John. The two sat on adjacent chairs and smiled. Both were wearing black suits. In front of them were two small tables with assorted desserts and flower arrangements.
Trade analyst Girish Johar shared the photo on Twitter. Fans reacted to the post, with one commenting: “Two legends.” Others expressed their love for Salman. “India’s biggest superstar,” one fan called him “Salman naam kaafi hai (Salman name is enough).”
Salman received the Person of the Year award, while John received the Lifetime Achievement Award, according to Zoom. The awards ceremony was organized by the Saudi Arabian General Directorate of Entertainment.
John is known for his roles in films such as Carrie, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Pulp Fiction and Hairspray. He won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his performance in “Short Man.”
Salman’s last big-screen appearance with Ayush Sharma was Antiem: The Final Truth, which dropped on Saturday for his new music video. Not only did he get involved, he also sang the song, titled “Dancing With Me.” The video features archival footage of him dancing with Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and his whole family, among others.
Next, Salman will appear in the third installment of the hit Tiger series directed by Maneesh Sharma. He will reprise his role as RAW manager Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger, while Katrina will return as Zoya. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Emraan Hashmi has been wooed to play the villain in the film.

The Hindustan Times’ review of the movie Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Parasuram Petla, suggests that the film struggles to make a mark or entertain, with issues reminiscent of Geetha Govindam (2018). The film tests patience and fails to maintain interest as it progresses.
The review criticizes the plot of Family Star, stating that it is thin and defies logic, making it difficult to enjoy. It also suggests that the film’s portrayal of middle-class life is caricaturish, as if it was written by someone unfamiliar with the realities of such a life.
