Salman Khan sings Lata’s Lag Ja Gale as he remembers the late singer.

Actor Salman Khan honors late singer Lata Mangeshkar by singing her classic song Lag Ja Gale in a new Instagram video. Ratta died of multiple organ failure in a Mumbai hospital on February 6.

One fan commented on the video, “Bhai kya khoob gaya hai (brother, you sing so well).” Another said: “Rattaji’s songs will soar until the last moment the world exists. Legends forever.” One One fan commented on the song’s lyrics, “Shayad phiriss janam mein, mulaqat ho na ho (we may or may not meet in this lifetime).” A concerned fan asked, “Bhai, are you crying?”
Ratta died at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. She was hospitalized in January after contracting Covid-19. Several celebrities including Shraddha Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan paid their final tribute to the iconic singer at Shivaji Park.

Rata’s family visited Nashik on Thursday and soaked her ashes in the holy Pavetra Ramkund on the banks of the Godavari River.

The Telugu film Family Star, directed by Parasuram Petla, has collected an estimated ₹5.75 crore nett in India on its first day of box office collection, marking an impressive opening day for the film.

Family Star reported a 38.45% Telugu occupancy on day 1, with Warangal having the highest occupancy (57.5%), followed by Visakhapatnam and Kakinada (56.75% each).
