Ahead of Goa’s parliamentary elections, Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi claimed on Friday that the fighting in Goa exists only between two parties, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress, and not other parties.

“This fight is between Congress and the BJP, not with other parties, so don’t waste your votes,” said a virtual meeting in Sankhali (Sanquelim), the constituency of BJP chief minister Pramod Savant, meanwhile. Speaking at public gatherings.

In attacking the BJP, he said that the BJP remains a complete failure in areas such as COVID-19 management, livelihoods, tourism, etc.

He further claimed that Congress will form a government in Goa, saying: “Congress will form a government in Goa. We hope Congress will form a Goa government with the help of voters.”

“I call on you to vote for your government,” he added.

He further said, “This time Congress has taken a firm stand not to vote for defectors who betray us. We vote for newcomers. Congress will have a full majority in Goa.”

Earlier today, all 40 candidates of Congress and the Goa Progressive Party pledged on Friday to be united and loyal to Congress in the presence of Rahul Gandhi, the release said.

Goa will go to a parliamentary vote on February 14. Counting will take place on March 10.

She compared Shah Rukh Khan’s films to Pathaan, Queen, and Manikarnika, noting that if she had a flop in Emergency, it would be a big hit. She also mentioned that she had not had a single hit for 7-8 years before Queen, but after that, she had a few good movies.
