Tracking Omicron spread in India: List of states with cases of new variant

Variations of Omicron spread rapidly in India. On Friday, the total number of cases of the new coronavirus in the country surpassed the 100 mark. Shockingly, 26 of them were recorded yesterday.

Maharashtra: It has the largest number of Omicron cases-40. Eight of these cases were recorded on Friday. Maharashtra has the largest number of Omicron cases from Mumbai (14 cases), followed by Pimpri Chinchwad with 10 cases, Pune rural with 6 cases, 2 in Pune Municipal Corporation, Kalyan Dombivali and Osmanabad 2 each, Latur , Buldhana, Nagpur and Vasai Virar each.

Delhi: The capital now has the second most Omicron cases in the country. After 12 cases were recorded on Friday, the total number of variants of the new coronavirus in Delhi reached 22.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that 10 of the 22 patients have been discharged from the hospital.

Doctors at Lok Nayak Hospital set up a special facility there to isolate and treat suspected Omicron cases. They told the news agency PTI that most patients are vaccinated and have no symptoms.

Rajasthan: The rapidly spreading Omicron also controls Rajasthan. To date, the state has recorded 17 cases of new variants of the coronavirus.

According to an official statement, 16 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases and 1 death were reported in Rajasthan on Friday.

Furthermore, the new death toll and cases have increased the state’s death toll to 8,960 and the number of infections to 9,55,189.

Telangana: According to the state health department, so far, Telangana has reported at least 8 cases of the new coronavirus variant Omicron.

Partha passed away at 11:50 pm on Friday night due to COPD-related ailments. He had been admitted to state-run M R Bangur hospital for the last month, and his condition worsened over the past week, and he was in the ICU.
