UP election: After major hint on Congress CM face, a clarification from Priyanka Gandhi

Party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday clarified that she never said she was the face of the CM in the upcoming parliamentary elections, after making a big hint about the candidate for chief minister in the Uttar Pradesh Congress. In an interview with ANI news agency, Priyanka Gandhi said she made the remarks on the CM’s face because she was annoyed by the same question being asked repeatedly.

“I’m not saying I’m the (CM) face (of the Uttar Pradesh Election China Council)…I said (you can see my face anywhere) angry because you’re all asking again and again Same problem,” said the General Secretary of Congress. Her remarks are seen as an important sign of parliamentary elections to be held in seven stages in February and March for candidates for chief minister in parliament. Congress has yet to predict a CM candidate in any of the five poll-bound states, all of which the BJP has announced.

Raising the issue of unemployment, Priyanka Gandhi said the fight is not between 80% and 20% as claimed by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, but between 1% and 99% of citizens. Few government friends benefited, she said, and everyone else was suffering.

“Why aren’t we talking about the percentage of unemployed people in the UP? Why aren’t we talking about the government’s budget for education? Why are we addressing issues that have nothing to do with the progress of the UP,” she asked.

Voting in Uttar Pradesh will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7. Counting will take place on March 10.
