Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra announced the party’s election manifesto on Wednesday, in which the party announced condolences for farmers, Covid-19 fighters, teachers and medium-sized businesses. Priyanka Gandhi says ‘false’ cases against journalists will also be dropped if Congress comes to power. Priyanka Gandhi said the manifesto was what the public said and wanted. “Like Chhattisgarh, once our government is in place, farmers’ loans will be forgiven. Rice and wheat will be bought at Rs 2,500 per quintal and sugar cane at Rs 400 per quintal. Electricity bills will be reduced Half, dues will be waived during the pandemic,” Priyanka said.
Priyanka said the families most affected by the outbreak will receive 25,000 rupees. On employment, Congress has pledged to clear a backlog of 1.2 million jobs in the public sector, including police, health care and education. In addition, 800,000 jobs will be created.

Other commitments in the Congress manifesto include Godhan Nyay Yojana, 5,000 rupees salary for school cooks, policewomen stationed nearby, 5 million rupees in compensation to Covid fighters, regularization of temporary teachers and shiksha mitras based on experience and rules, free treatment of up to 100 rupees 10,000 rupees, etc.

Uttar Pradesh will vote in seven phases from February 10 to March 7. On February 10, a total of 58 parliamentary seats spread across 11 districts will go to the first stage of voting. The campaign for the first stage of parliamentary votes in western Uttar Pradesh ended on Tuesday night.
