Xiaomi 12 Series Teased by Company, Base Model Gets A+ DisplayMate Rating

The Mi 12 series, a new smartphone series from the Chinese technology giant, will be officially launched on the domestic market on December 28. It is said that Xiaomi’s upcoming series include Xiaomi Mi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro models, as well as two other models. Just a few days before the official debut, Xiaomi ridiculed the Xiaomi 12 series smartphone on Weibo, revealing some of its design and display specifications. The mobile phone display has a punch-hole display. In addition, Xiaomi also announced that the original Mi 12 mobile phone has received DisplayMate’s A+ rating.

Xiaomi shared on Weibo that its Mi 12 mobile phone has received an A+ rating from DisplayMate. This is the highest display performance rating given by the company. In addition, the post added that the smartphone has created 15 new screen records. Mi 12 is also equipped with a high-precision screen to ensure a delicate display and battery life experience. It is said that the phone supports 16,000-level screen brightness adjustment and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

In another article on Weibo, Xiaomi teased the upcoming Mi 12 and Mi 12 Pro smartphones with fresh images. You can see that these phones have punch-hole displays. The specifications of Mi 12 and Mi 12 Pro have been leaked many times in the past. Xiaomi has confirmed that the new phone will use the recently launched Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Mi 12 tends to be equipped with a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor. This smartphone can use a curved display with a resolution of Full HD + (1,920×1,080 pixels). Recently, a vanilla model was discovered on the China Compulsory Certification (3C) website. The battery capacity is 5,000mAh and supports 67W fast charging. Mi 12 Pro is expected to provide 120W charging.

Xiaomi has announced that the Mi 12 series will be released in China on December 28. The brand has not announced the number of smartphones that it plans to launch under the Mi 12 series. However, the series is expected to include four models-Mi 12, Mi 12X, Mi 12 Pro and Mi 12 Ultra.

Surfaces of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra with Snapdragon 8S Gen 3

Early this week, renders of the Edge 50 Fusion appeared, and Motorola has previously stated that the Edge 50 Pro will ship on April 3. The highest-end smartphone in the Edge 50 series, the Edge 50 Ultra, has now been shown in renders.

The phone is depicted in the renderings in peach fuzz and black with a vegan leather finish, while sisal, a beige color, will have a brushed surface. As opposed to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the Pro variant and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in the Edge 50 Fusion, the phone is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.

A 50MP primary camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom are all included in the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra’s feature set. Additionally, there is a triple LED flash on the right side and a laser autofocus feature above the periscope lens.

Although the phone’s display, battery, and charging specifications are yet unknown, the Edge 50 Pro is said to include 12GB of RAM and support both 50W and 125W wired and wireless charging.

It is anticipated that this will launch as the Motorola X50 Ultra in China. It is unclear if the India launch may be expected on the same day as the rest of the Edge 50 series phones, even if this is scheduled to go official on April 3.
