3 drug peddlers arrested in Hyderabad; 11 kg marijuana, cash seized

The Madhapur Special Operations Team along with the KPHB police caught three persons who were allegedly smuggling marijuana at Sardar Patel Nagar late on Thursday night. Police seized 11 kg of marijuana, Rs 5,000 and mobile phones from them.

The arrested persons were Shaik Saber (22), a fruit vendor from Moosapet, Mohd.Adil (21) a scrap trader from Musheerabad and Shaik Shareef Khan (23), a scrap trader from Warasiguda. Five suspects, Praveen, Vivek, Lavan, Nagesh and Siddu, were absconding. According to the police, the arrested trio, under the guidance of Praveen and Vivek procured marijuana from Lavan, Nagesh and Siddu at Visakhapatnam and brought it to Hyderabad.

The arrested persons were handed over to the KPHB police while efforts are on to nab the absconding suspects.
