3 Years of Pulwama Attack: Remembering the fateful day when India lost 40 CRPF bravehearts

The Indian Army and other security forces have paid tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on the third anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack. On February 14, 2019, a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist rammed a vehicle carrying explosives into a bus carrying them, killing as many as 40 CRPF personnel.

“General MM Naravane #COAS and all ranks of the #IndianArmy salute the brave jaws of the Central Reserve Police who lost their lives in a terrorist attack in #Pulwama on 14th February 2019,” added General Directorate India The Army Public Information Department tweeted on its official website.

A number of dignitaries and celebrities also paid tribute to CRPF personnel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled the outstanding service to the country by fallen CRPF soldiers.

“Their bravery and supreme sacrifice inspire every Indian to strive to build a strong and prosperous nation,” he tweeted.

Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, said the sacrifice of the brave chin man is a debt to society that brings “all of us together against terrorism”.

Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said fallen Pulwama warriors deserved more than “ceremonial mourning”.

“Our #PulwamaShahid deserve more than ceremonial condolences. They deserve an account of what went wrong and why. Who is responsible for the horrific mistakes that led to this tragedy. What we are doing to ensure it never happens again . This would be a fitting way to commemorate them,” he tweeted.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher tweeted: “February 14, 2019! My heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack. My tribute to the families of these martyrs too.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Delhi Chief Minister also tweeted tributes to the CRPF Chin, saying the state will always be grateful for their supreme sacrifice.

She compared Shah Rukh Khan’s films to Pathaan, Queen, and Manikarnika, noting that if she had a flop in Emergency, it would be a big hit. Kangana compared her career to Shah Rukh Khan, who had consecutive flops for ten years. She also mentioned that she had not had a single hit for 7-8 years before Queen, but after that, she had a few good movies.

The last generation of stars, known for their talent and demand, are now able to showcase their talents more through OTT.
