‘Skate to where the puck is going…’ How Apple plans a chip that stays relevant for years
Apple’s Tim Millet and Bob Borchers told the Indian Express about how the company makes chips like A15 Bionic to optimize all aspects of the iPhone and promises to provide a superior user experience. Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of global product marketing, is somewhat philosophical, despite the quote In the words of ice hockey, to explain how the company managed to design a processor that is still relevant even after so many years. He told indianexpress.com that they often use this phrase, “because maybe one of the most important parts of our work is trying to figure out where it is going, so that we can predict and build tools and capabilities to achieve our goals.
“Tim Millet, vice president of hardware technology, detailed that at Apple, they do their best to ensure that “not only provide the applications available today, but also predict where the applications will be in a few years.” As the head of Apple’s platform architecture team, he knows this best.
“Therefore, our first-class CPU is one of the most influential ways we make our devices future-proof, because we know that as we improve year by year, we will provide more room for applications to migrate forward,” Xiaomi told indianexpress .com explained. He said the same goes for GPUs. “We want to make sure that there are enough GPUs to meet our internal needs for built-in functions and third-party functions.
The amount of calculations required by video gamers or professional media processing applications is endless, so we do our best in every generation Pack as many people as possible.” Apple has launched the latest iPhone 13 series powered by the new A15 Bionic processor, which supports many new features, especially the ProMotion adaptive screen refresh rate and the intuitive movie mode in the camera, even though it has a higher battery than previous generations life.
